Social Studies (G-course)
The university entrance exam in Social Studies consists of one written exam (180 minutes).
- Individuals and social environment (e.g. family, social groups)
- Society - features and trends of development (e.g. demographic change, social inequality)
- Power structures/political systems (e.g. FRG, EU)
- Methods (e.g. statistics, analysis of caricatures)
Examinees get materials unknown to them, e.g. a text (primary or secondary source), a diagram, a caricature and/or a picture. They have to analyze the material using methods appropriate to the given material and show connections with the topics dealt with in class.
A monolingual dictionary will be at hand.
